Rome (Italy). The Studies Center on the FMA of the Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences “Auxilium” in Rome proposes, from November 2021 to April 2022, the annual events on pedagogy, spirituality, and history of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
The initiative of “Salesian Thursdays at Auxilium” is part of the program of activities, prepared by the FMA Studies Center for 2021-2022, in preparation for the 150th of foundation of the FMA Institute, which will be celebrated in 2022.
The interventions of the speakers can be followed in live-streaming on the YouTube Channel of the Studies Center. At the end of each meeting, registration will remain available, to allow educators, Educating Communities, and FMA religious communities, and all those interested in the issues, to transform the current charismatic and educational challenges into formative opportunities.
The FMA Studies Center will also continue to insert the documents on the site and, in collaboration with Don Bosco Studies Center of the Salesian Pontifical University, in the search portal Salesian online.
“The root of the FMA in the soil of secularization” is the theme of the first meeting, which will be held on 4 November 2021 at 18:30 (Italian time), proposed by Prof. Grazia Loparco, Professor of Church History at the Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences “Auxilium” .
“More than on the foundation process, specifies the Professor, we intend to reflect on the ground that welcomed the seed, or rather the environment in which the Institute was rooted. Why? First of all, because in order to rediscover the initial creative state of the charism and renew it in our time, it is necessary to know the terrain in which the first intuition, the first community sprouted. In the time of secularization, so crossed by long-lasting transformations, the FMA Institute was in fact one among many others of apostolic life, dedicated to an industrious, foreseeing charity for the protection and development of people and their dignity “.
