Rome (Italy). On 10 October 2020, the National Board of the Italian Center for Salesian Female Works/School (CIOFS/School) met online in Rome with the schools of Italy. The reason for the meeting was the convocation of the Assembly of members in which the text of the MANIFESTO presenting the identity of the Salesian Schools of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Italy was presented and illustrated.
The MANIFESTO comes out with a young face, it speaks the language of all the schools of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Italy. It collects the wisdom of a long pedagogical and didactic culture and is expressed with the freshness of the words that speak to the mind and heart.
It is a joyful communication to be shared online. The Manifesto is an explanation of the values of the Salesian school which is based on tradition, on conception and implementation and, in some respects, on spirituality, reasonableness, benevolence.
The Salesian School means a word of life that reaches the heart, the mind, the spirit: it wants to re-generate and re-generate itself.
By accepting the great challenge of the time, it responds to the trust that families and pupils place in the Salesian school, through an authentic, human, transforming positivity, sought after in the demanding appeal of the Word and in the acceptance of grace, in sharing, and with the guidance of the Teacher Jesus.
Re-generating life is the philosophy that animates the MANIFESTO leaving room for students, listening to them, welcoming them, accompanying them on the path of understanding, interpretation, reworking even of the simplest contents … free and liberating choices.
It is a way to involve teachers, parents, past pupils, friends and to more consciously assume the identity of the school, make it known and share it with everyone: teachers, parents, pupils, Church, territory, associative environment.
