Turin (Italy). On 25 March 2025, on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, the capitulars gathered in Valdocco, Turin, for the 29^th General Chapter elected as the XI Successor of Don Bosco to lead the Salesian Congregation

The greetings of the Superior General of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Mother Chiara Cazzuola:

Dearest Fr. Fabio,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, I am here to congratulate you on the new mission entrusted to you from today in the Salesian Family and in the Church.

Like Mary, you received a unique “Annunciation” mediated by the Chapter Assembly and certainly your “yes” has a special fecundity, because united to the “yes” of the Mother of God who accompanies with maternal wisdom the journey of the Salesian Congregation.

Thank you for having accepted the call to be the 11^th Successor of Don Bosco and I wish you a fruitful mission as Father and Center of unity of the great Family of Don Bosco spread throughout the world.

In belonging to the common charismatic identity, I renew, as Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, our fidelity to the spirit of the Founder who in you, makes himself present here today and who will help us always to keep it alive.

I assure you of our prayer and support and I invoke upon you and the Salesians who will be called to join the new General Council, the grace of the Holy Spirit and the powerful protection of Mary, Mother and Teacher, in the expectation of being able to continue our synodal journey in communion, co-responsibility, and joy for the salvation of young people.
