Seoul (Korea). On 15 August 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the “Laura” Camp was held online, organized by the Youth Vocational Pastoral Team with the collaboration of the representatives of the “Laura” Groups of the various Houses of Morning Star Province (KOR).

In the months preceding the Camp, in the realities where the “Laura” Group is present, the meetings took place online, creating a network between the different groups and the local group representatives dividing the production of the various contents of the summer camp.

62 young people from the FMA Houses of Seoul, Suwon, Daejeon, Gwangju, Busan, and Jeju participated in the camp on August 15, entitled “Good Christians and honest citizens”.

During the encounter, the testimonies of the young people of the different “Laura” groups alternated with listening to the songs they proposed. In addition, an online link was made with the Korean missionaries – Sister Yun Elisabetta from Brazil and Sister Pak Cecilia from Canada – who shared their missionary experience.

The young women of the local groups expressed the resonances spontaneously, enriching and making the Camp more familiar. The last part of the day was reserved for the Eucharistic Celebration on the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary, presided over by Fr. Kim Lupicino, a Salesian of Don Bosco.

The Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, motivated by the “Da mihi animas”, renewed the formula of the “Laura” Camp, adapting it to the new methods of pastoral activity due to the pandemic. In organizing the event, the Provincial Vocational Pastoral Team was supported by the Past Pupils of the “Laura” Group and by the older young people of the Vocational Group called the “Salesian” Group, who contributed to the good progress of the Camp with their joyful presence.
