Shillong (India). On August 29-30, 2018, at the Pastoral Center of Shillong, 57 representatives of the various groups of the Salesian Family gathered for a meeting of study and reflection on how to rekindle the missionary spirit in the region. Various personalities intervened at the event, including the archbishop emeritus of Guwahati, Mons. Thomas Menamparampil, SDB, who underlined the importance of an apostolate of friendship to bring the values of the Gospel into every culture and environment. The archbishop of Shillong, Msgr. Dominic Jala, SDB, invited the participants to focus on families and young people who need the light of Christ to bring peace and harmony into their lives.
