Brazil. From 26 to 28 September 2018 the 16th National Meeting of the Brazil Salesian School Network (ENARSE) and the 9th National Meeting of the Economical Sites (ENEL) took place in Brazil.
About 350 people participated, including Provincials, directors of Salesian schools, animators and managers of the Polo, economers, and pedagogical coordinators of the Salesian Network of Brazil. This year’s meeting had as its theme: Inspired by the dream of our founders, we strengthen the unity of our network and consolidate effective actions in the scenario of educational changes.
There were three days of conferences, round tables, work groups, and formation panels for the participants who were able to learn and study the development of education and strengthen the spirit of the network.
The round table was composed of the President of the Salesian Network of Brazil, Sr. Ana Teresa Pinto; and the Vice President, Fr Gildásio Mendes dos Santos; the Executive Director of RSB-School, Sr. Adair Aparecida Sberga; and the Executive Director of the Salesian Network of Brazil, Fr. José Marinoni; the Provincial, Sr. Maria Carmelita Conceição; and the Provincial Fr. Nivaldo Pessinatti; and the collaborators for the FMA and SDB Pastoral Sectors, Sr. Ivone Goulart Lopes, and Fr René Antonio Santos Gonzales, SDB.
ENARSE and ENEL are annual meetings promoted by RSB-School in order to broaden the vision of the Network and strengthen the Salesian educational mission, considering the current Brazilian educational and economic context. “The scenario of uncertainties and accelerated changes has required leaders to have extensive knowledge of the educational scene. In addition to permanent professional qualification, in order to develop effective and sustainable management, it is urgent to commit ourselves to Salesian principles and values ??”, said Sister Adair Sberga, Executive Director of RSB-School.
The participants were able to attend the artistic representations of the Salesian institutions. The students of the Salesian Center of the Federal District of Aprendiz (CESAM-DF) presented the Dream of Don Bosco on Brasilia.
The children of the Salesian school of St. Dominic Savio of Bandeirante, expressed the charm and purity of being children through a presentation of music, choreography, and declamations. All three days of the event were animated by the Juazeiro do Norte Animation Team.
The meeting concluded with the wish that the formation received be of great value and applicability in the daily life of the Salesian schools which form “a vast movement in favor of youth”.
