Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic). On 4 December 2024, the second edition of the Educative Quality Award (PRECE) was held at the Jaragua Hotel Theater in Santo Domingo.

As Leslie de León, Director of the MAP Public Administration Excellence Award, explained, the Award aims to recognize good practices in Schools, Districts, and Regions that promote a quality culture in the development of their processes and services, operating under the Common Assessment Framework (CEC) model.

The application for the Prize therefore requires participating educational institutions to undertake a full self-assessment process, supported by solid evidence. They must also design and implement improvement plans and submit a detailed report showing the progress made in implementing the CAF model of excellence, as well as the results achieved in its application.

Among the awarded institutions, distinguished was the Celina Pellier Educative Center of Los Mameyes, Santo Domingo, of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of St. Joseph Province (ANT), which belongs to the Salesian School Network (UCONARES) in the Dominican Republic.

This institution has received the silver medal in recognition of its commitment to quality in the design and implementation of formative activities, networking, and dedication to continuous improvement.

Present to accept the award from the Minister of Public Administration (MAP), Sigmund Freund, and the Minister of Education of the Dominican Republic, Ángel Hernández, were the Provincial Referent for the School network, Sister Kirce Veras Quezada; the School District Director and the Institution Director, Sister Basilia Ramírez Veloz; together with the coordinators and the teachers who collaborated in the project.

“Receiving the medal in the second edition of the Educative Quality Award is recognition of the effort, innovation, and commitment to excellence in education of our institutions, based on evangelization and making visible the fruits of the Salesian charism,” said Sister Kirce, expressing her joy at this result.

    Grazie 🙌
