Ruvo di Puglia (Italy). On 7 September 2021, in Ruvo di Puglia (Bari), in the rooms of the “OratoriAMO with Don Bosco” Youth Center of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Sacred Heart Community, of Our Lady of Good Counsel Province (IMR), was the inauguration of Study Room 150 Make the Dream for university students, in view of the 150th anniversary of the Foundation of the FMA Institute (1872-2022).
In fact, the initiative welcomes the invitation of the Mother General of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Sr. Yvonne Reungoat who in Circular 989 “With Mary towards the 150th of the Institute, suggests to the Educating Communities concrete experiences to ensure that the celebratory event “touches life and transforms it”:
“Aware that Mary walks in our house and wants to reach many young people, we will make our communities more open to welcoming young people to listen to them, to let their dreams, questions, and needs emerge. Enriched by their presence, we will thus have the opportunity to weave dialogue, accompany them in discovering God’s plan in their life, and involve them more actively in the mission, starting with daily commitment.”
Listening to the young people and their request to have a serene and welcoming place to study, the FMA identified a room in the Oratory with an independent entrance and, thanks to the help of a Partner, they equipped it with laptops and WIFI connection.
Study Room 150 is a sign of attention to the young people of the area, who generally attend the Oratory only if engaged in animation or in Civil Service.
Make the dream, the slogan that accompanies the Pastoral Year, is intended as a wish for young people so that they can accomplish their dreams in the present and in the future to be, as Don Bosco wanted, “Happy in time and in eternity”.
Starting from 1 October 2021, with the beginning of the new Academic Year, young people will be able to use the equipped Room in the environment of OratoriAMO con don Bosco.
