New presence of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Nigeria

Lagos (Nigeria). The dream of a new presence in Lagos, Nigeria is realized for Mother of God Province (AFO). In response to the requests of the local bishops and with the support of Mother Yvonne Reungoat, on November 8, 2019 the provincial Sr. Yolande Kikange inaugurated the new community consisting of three FMAs: Sister Dieudonne Jean Louis, Sister Teresa Fernandes, and Sister Justina Egbedike. During the celebratory moment, they were presented with a statue of Mary Help of Christians who will accompany their steps. The community officially entered Nigeria on November 15, 2019, the day on which Blessed Maddalena Morano, a great catechist, was remembered.   They will initially be a simple presence among the people in service to the Parish.
