Rome (Italy). On 4 and 5 April 2025, the measures making official the professional recognition of the diplomas in the Sciences of Education and of Formation were published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale della Italian Republic, in Pedagogical Sciences and in Psychology issued by the Pontifical Faculty of Education Science “Auxilium” of Rome, marking a significant milestone for the academic community.
The Decree of the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR), dated 13 March 2025, officially recognizes the Faculty Auxilium as “an academic Institution of particular scientific relevance on the international level”.
The measure was published on 4 April 2025, in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic. The recognition implements the provisions of Article 9 of Law 55/2024, concerning the definition of the professions of the educator and of the socio-pedagogical professional educator, as well as the modalities of access to their relative professional Rolls.
The Decree opens prospects for graduates in the Sciences of Education and Formation and in Pedagogical Sciences at the Faculty Auxilium, who will be able to access the registration of the Register of the pedagogists and of the professional socio-pedagogists and participate in the institution of regional orders and Italian autonomous provinces, and therefore exercise the profession in the educative and pedagogical field.

On the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic dated 5 April 2025, was then published the Decree, signed by the Minister for Universities and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, on 19 December 2024, which regulates the qualification to the profession of psychologist in Italy, according to the provisions of Law no. 163/2021 and by the Interministerial Decree no. 567/2022.
Therefore, those who have obtained, or are obtaining, the License in Psychology at the Faculty Auxilium “acquire the license to practice the profession of psychologist after passing a practical-evaluative internship and an assessment test.”
The practical-evaluation internship must be carried out in accordance with art. 2 of the interministerial decree no. 567 of 20 June 2022, and the practical assessment test is regulated in accordance with art. 3 of the same decree.
Those who have completed the practical-assessment internship may apply for recognition of the professional training activities carried out during the course of studies at an Italian university and take the practical assessment test at the same university.
