Mornese (Italy). The proposal to discover the treasure of Maìn of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco is presented on 24 May, Solemnity of Mary Help of Christians. A spiritual “course” on the places of St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello on the weekends 5-6 October and 9-10 November for young people from 19 years, adults, parents, FMA, SDB, and members of the Salesian Family to discover the Treasure of Maìn.
“We are very happy to be able to show the ‘treasure’ of our foundress”, states Sister Ivana Milesi, Director of the community of the St. Mary Mazzarello College in Mornese. “A treasure made up of places to visit, experiences to share, and people to know and meet”.
Created for the occasion was the Website, www.iltesorodimain.it, which initially served to gather reservations and that will become the ‘coffer’ of this immense and inexhaustible treasure”.
But what does this treasure consist of? We will discover it with a video that will be released in the coming weeks and that will show us the contents of the coffer, which contains all the charisma of St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello, foundress together with St. John Bosco of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
The initiative is promoted by the congregation of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and by the Tgs Valponasca association and in collaboration with the Diocese of Acqui, the Municipality of Mornese, the Association of Mary Help of Christians, the Oratory Mother Mazzarello of Mornese, the Association of Past Pupils of Mornese, the Pro loco of Mornese, and the association MornesE20.
The Path
It is addressed to all those who want to live a spiritual experience in the Places of Mother Mazzarello to immerse themselves in the “Spirit of Mornese” of the first community. People who are willing to form themselves to accompany groups to the places of the Saint. At the end of the course, a certificate of participation will be issued which will give the opportunity to accompany the various pilgrims inside the Salesian places of Mornese.
During the two weekends of the proposal there will be experiences of community life, Salesian outings to remember the Salesian style, celebrations and a life of prayer with the community. All this will end with a guided internship for the practical realization of a path to the places of Mother Mazzarello between the birthplace, Cascina Valponasca, Mornese, the School and the house of Nizza Monferrato.
