Panama City, Panama. On January 21, 2019, the Mother General of the FMA was welcomed together with Sr. Runita Borija, Councilor for Youth Pastoral, and Sr. Ena, Provincial of Our Lady of the Angels Province of South American South (CAR) in Panama City by the young people of SYM at Don Bosco Technical Institute. It was a time of great youthful enthusiasm and joy.
The youth delegations, FMA and SDB, laity of the Salesian Family coming from diverse realities of the Salesian World expressed their joy at being with the Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Sr. Yvonne Reungoat who arrived in Panama that evening to share the Celebration of World Youth Day with Pope Francis.
With her joyful and welcoming presence, Mother Yvonne expressed her desire that this experience would be truly enriching through sharing the diversity of experiences and through the faith and love that accompanies the encounter in Panama.
Mother then presided at the inauguration ceremony with the spiritual itinerary of Blessed Sr. Maria Romero, one of the patrons of WYD 2019 at Panama.
During these days, she will participate in the events of WYD 2019 with Pope Francis, and on January 23, 2019, she will share with the SYM youth who arrived in Panama, a time of reflection on vocational discernment together with the Salesian Rector Major during the SYM Forum and the grand Celebration of Salesian Youth.
