Phnom Penh (Cambodia) The Covid-19 pandemic did not prevent the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Province of Mary Help of Cambodia-Myanmar (CMY) from participating in the annual Spiritual Exercises organized from 4 to 12 May 2020, in online mode. Due to the lockdown, the sisters are divided into four groups in the communities of Phnom Penh (Cambodia), and Yangon, Chantagon, and Anisakan (Myanmar).
The preacher, Fr Andrew Wong, Salesian of Don Bosco and Superior of the Indonesian Vice Province (INA), is located in Jakarta, Indonesia and connects through social media to preach the Exercises. The online mode is a novelty, which helped the FMA to enjoy every moment of the conferences, appreciating the ‘presence’ and fraternal sharing of spiritual contents by Fr. Wong.
The Spiritual Exercises are an opportunity for the FMA of the CMY Province to have a privileged space of silence, reflection, and prayer, especially for the needs of the world in this time of pandemic.
