Caracas (Venezuela). During the Canonical Visit of Sr. Maria Luisa Miranda, Councilor for the Salesian Family, at St. John Bosco Province in Venezuela (VEN), the meeting of the Salesian Family took place on February 18, 2018 at the FMA Provincial House, which was attended by representatives of 5 groups: SDB, Past Pupils, SSCC, VDB, ADMA, and by FMA.
During the meeting, Sr. Maria Luisa presented a reflection on the Strenna of the Rector Major: “We cultivate the art of listening and accompanying”. She invited us to reflect on how to accompany, in line with the Salesian charism, young people and families in this historical moment of the country, and how to concretely work as a Salesian Family. What emerged was entrusted to a commission to continue the reflection.
The participants appreciated this moment that awakened their enthusiasm and encouraged them to continue to proclaim the Gospel and to spread the Salesian charism in Venezuela at this difficult time due to the social crisis that has hit families and young people.
