Rome (Italy). The General Councilors and the Sector collaborators of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians have chosen to journey with the young toward Synod 2018 with a simple initiative to encourage the study of the content that will be developed, especially in the Pre-Synod Meeting of the Young of the world, that is taking place in Rome from March 19-24.
Periodically, every 15 days until the October Synod, there will be brief messages hashtag (#) that ‘represent’ the perspectives of the Sectors (Formation, Youth Pastoral, Social Communications, Mission ad gentes, Salesian Family, and Administration). The 15 key words chosen by the work Outline, the basic instruments during the Pre-Synod Meeting, the 15 messages #hashtag recall:
- The epochal conditions and concrete situations in which today’s youth shape their identity;
- The way in which the young understand the key words of the faith, the desires of the Church, and the intentions of the Lord Jesus;
- The most efficacious ways of educational and pastoral action to proclaim the Good News to the young.
The# refer to the diverse aspects of the youth reality: from the search for the meaning of life to relationship with technology, from affectivity to vocational discernment, from political participation to commitment in volunteering.
The initiative #ConIGiovaniVersoIlSinodo is a simple and quick way to ‘re-launch’ the themes discussed by the young people present in Rome together with the other 15,000 who participate through the social network… ‘because we have the young at heart’.
