Phnom Penh (Cambodia). On 8 October 2023 in Phnom Penh, at the Formation House of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Mary Our Help (CMY) Province, Sister Celine Jacob, Visiting Councilor of the FMA Institute, met more than a hundred Past Pupils of the FMA.
The meeting began with the notes of the national anthem in memory of how Past Pupils since 1994 have served the country in the Spirit of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello, contributing to its regeneration through the skills and life values learned in the realities of the FMA.
In a packed room, through dances, songs, and a skit, the Past Pupils then revisited and celebrated the educational result the mission accomplished in active and responsible synodality, by the Sisters and the Educating Communities. Before ending the celebrations, twenty-five enrolled in the Past Pupil Association and a new Union was formed in St. John Bosco Community of Teuk Thla.
Messages of welcome and gratitude followed, culminating with the words of Sister Celine Jacob, who encouraged them to be signs of hope and agents of transformation for many poor young people so that, in turn, they too may become witnesses of values and commitment in the society.
The last part of the meeting was spent in fraternal conviviality, in a joyful exchange of news, remembering experiences, expressing hopes and plans for their families and for the Association.
Congratulations my dear sisters. How wonderful to see such a huge gathering. I rejoice with you all and send blessings.
With deep affection.
