Cachoeira do Campo (Brazil). On 5 and 6 October 2023, at the Retiro das Rosas Spirituality House in Cachoeira do Campo, Minas Gerais, Mother Mazzarello Province (BMM) experienced the Strategic Management Assembly, which brought together the leaders of the school communities, of social works, and of the indigenous Mission.
Present at the Assembly on the theme #Innovate and Transform, was Sister Ena Veralis Bolaños, General Councilor for Administration of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians Institute, on an animation visit to the Brazilian Provinces. She was able to accompany the work, sharing with lay people and FMA the roots of the Charismatic Mission.
Over the course of two intense days, the management teams of the different entities reviewed and reaffirmed their commitment to the Strategic Map developed in recent years, which outlines the horizon of educational institutions up to the year 2027. The Map reflects the incessant search for the realization of the transformative educational mission, a dream that Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello had in common.
One of the most significant moments of the Assembly was the reflection, together with the Provincial, Sr. Teresinha Ambrosim, on the Youth Manifesto, a document launched by the Salesian Network Brazil (RSB) during the RSB National Meeting in August 2023. The discussion was also the theme of Strenna 2024, “The dream that makes you dream. A heart that transforms ‘wolves’ into ‘lambs’,” and of the proposals for innovative Pedagogical Projects in the Educational Units, as well as the Formation Plan for the Socio-Educational Units.
The Province Work Committees also shared their progress over the last year, outlining the steps already taken and future horizons, in line with the Strategic Plan.
The Assembly concluded with mutual thanks for the wealth shared and with the hope that we can continue to write new chapters of the Salesian Mission day by day, continuing to transform realities and people, generating life.
