Tam Ha (Vietnam). From 29 December 2018 to 1 January 2019, at the Provincial House in Tam Ha, the 26th formation camp was held for 115 formandees, including novices, postulants, aspirants, and pre-aspirants of Mary Help of Christians Province (VTN).
The camp was organized by the Province Formation Team on the theme: “Let us continue to write the song of our martyrs”, because in 2018, the Church in Vietnam celebrated the 30th anniversary of the canonization of the Holy Vietnamese Martyrs.
The proposed activities were focused on the life of the Holy Vietnamese Martyrs and on the witness of their faith, their love, courage, and sacrifice.
To honor the holy martyrs, the formandees expressed their creativity and competence with dances, recitations, and other artistic forms. In the Catechism contest, through a test, the formandees learned to summarize the knowledge learned in order to apply it to life.
Through games and the camp fire, they exercised the abilities necessary for the mission and studied the faith and virtues of the Holy Martyrs. They lived times of fraternity in the race of pitching their tents, in the food fair, in the New Year feast, alternating with times of prayer, Eucharistic Celebration, and the Rosary.
The formation camp ended with the mandate “Take up the journey”, with the wish for peace of the Provincial, Sr. Rosa Vu Thi Kim Lien, and the invitation of Sr. Teresa Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, who was responsible for the camp, to continue to write the song of the Holy Martyrs in the concreteness of daily life.
