Antilles (Central America) In the unprecedented situation that the world is going through with the Covid-19 pandemic, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Province of Saint Joseph (ANT) and the Salesians of Don Bosco of the Antilles, together with the young people, met to celebrate Easter On the network with the slogan “Fascinated by Jesus” #Vivo la Pascua en Red, proposed by the Youth Ministry of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic.
Called to accompany the young people of the Educating Communities through prayer and through the means of communication of Youth Pastoral, FMA and SDB sent the proposal of Easter online with the indications to live the experience in the family or with people with whom they shared the quarantine period.
The proposal was immediately accepted by numerous young people from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, who enrolled through a registration format made available by each youth center and by the groups created by the YP for other participants without a specific membership.
Instagram and WhatsApp are the social networks used to publish the posts that kept young people and their families united on the network as a Salesian Family, invited to let themselves be fascinated by Jesus and to follow him in the Paschal mystery. The formative themes were taken from the post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis Christus Vivit, already used in the Pastoral Proposal for the journey of accompaniment of young people.
“Fascinated by Jesus” is the charm that FMA, SDB, and young people from the Provinces of the Antilles want to continue transmitting and radiating, bringing to everyone, in the midst of many experiences of death and pain, the joy of having met Jesus alive with the proclamation:
“Christ lives. He is our hope and the most beautiful youth of this world. Everything He touches becomes young, becomes new, is filled with life. Therefore, the first words I want to address to each young Christian are: He lives and wants you alive!” (CV 1)
