(Rome). On June 24, 2018, at the General House in Rome, some sisters of the RMC Preprovince and of the General House, celebrated their 25 and 50 years of fidelity to the Lord in the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
It was a very meaningful day that from the morning followed the rhythm of prayer, fraternity, joy, welcome, and sharing. This was the atmosphere for celebrating the feast of fidelity and of love that became gift in Sr. Vilma Tallone, Sr. Franca De Vietro, Sr. Maria Di Maio, Sr. Angela Serra, Sr. Nellina Tursi, Sr. Marie Christine and Sr. Angelina Aruldoss.
The Eucharistic Celebration animated by the community and choir of the General House, was presided by Fr. Albert Lorenzelli and concelebrated by some young confreres. In his homily, Fr. Albert highlighted the meaning of fidelity, recalling the Solemnity of the Birth of St. John the Baptist, the Commemoration of Mary Help of Christians, and the Canonization of Mother Mazzarello (6/24/1951). He invited us to thank and praise God for that yes, which step by step, became reality in the love and predilection for the young and in communion with the entire Salesian Family.
The celebrated sisters pronounced the formula of consecration to the Lord and thanked Him for His every gift and for the commitment to be credible witnesses of His prevenient love.
Mother General, Sister Yvonne Reungoat, gave her sisters a lighted lamp, a sign of faithful vigilance, wishing each sister to continue to nourish, with the oil of joy and the flame of charity, their daily giving in the joyful certainty of the inexhaustible fidelity of God.
