Phnom Penh (Cambodia) The Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Province of Mary Our Help of Cambodia and Myanmar (CMY) prepared parcels of food in May to be distributed to 1,900 families (900 in Myanmar and 1,000 in Cambodia) who had been affected economically from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The second distribution of parcels after the one in April, was made possible thanks to the help of CHARIS Singapore, the Caritas association of Humanitarian Aid and Rescue Initiatives. The contributions received by CHARIS allowed the FMA to distribute essential basic foodstuffs to each family such as: 25 kilos of rice, 10 cans of canned food, 15 bags of noodles/pasta, 1 liter of cooking oil, and 6 bottles of fish sauce. Each package allows an average family to have enough food for about three weeks.
The FMA worked in synergy with CHARIS, concretely bringing relief to the population left without essential nourishment. Some families went to the schools to receive the parcel of food, others were reached by the FMA in the poor areas where they live, sometimes at risk of contagion.

sending blessings.

Thank you for your prayers Sr. Kathleen! God has been overwhelmingly providential to us and to our poor families in Cambodia and in Myanmar. Indeed, God looks at the least and the disadvantaged favorably.
