She was born at Nagasaki, Japan on August 12, 1965. She soon breathes Christian and Salesian air in her family environment.
As a child, Maria Assunta frequents the School of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians where her educational vocation is born and her desire to dedicate her whole life to God for the young.
She makes her First Religious Profession in Tokyo-Chofu in 1989.
She obtained her degree in Literature and then taught Religion and History in the Middle and High School. In addition to teaching at school, she dedicated herself to animation at the oratory.
In 1999, she attends the Course of Salesian Spirituality in Italy for three years. This affords her the opportunity to deepen her knowledge and love for the Salesian Charism.
In 2003, she becomes the Novice Formator, then Assistant of the young people in the Period of Assessment and Guidance.
From 2004 to 2009, she is the Provincial Councilor for Formation and Coordinator of the Provincial Team. Her constant task is that of coordinating and animating Pastoral in its specifically vocational dimension. In this field, she expends energy, initiative, creativity. In 2013, she is the Provincial of the Japanese Province Alma Mater (GIA).
In 2014, during General Chapter XXIII, she is elected as Visiting Councilor for the six-year term 2014-2020.
